Battlefield 4 banned in China
Written by   - Friday, 27 December 2013  (1 Comments )

Accusing Electronic Arts of developing content that threatens China's national security and is a form of cultural invasion, the Chinese government has officially banned the first-person shooter game Battlefield 4, prohibiting all materials related to the game in any form, including game downloads, demos, patch downloads, and news reports.

Battlefield 4

Battlefield 4: China Rising puts the action in 2020 and on the Chinese mainland, in the middle of a fictional war led by Admiral Chang, with the intent of overthrowing the current government. The plot thickens as Chang is supported by Russia, which leads to an U.S. involvement in the conflict, fighting against the coup and Chinese Liberation Army. The Chinese translation for Battlefield 4 (ZhanDi4), is already being censored on the country's biggest social media site Weibo.com.
