GosuGamers Call it Quits
Written by   - Monday, 05 December 2011  (3 Comments )

The Swedish community website GosuGamers that supported StarCraft Brood War and evolved to an organization that hosted some professional DotA and Starcraft II teams, has announced that they won't be doing that anymore, shutting down all kind of support to these players.

GosuGamers

Team GosuGamers manager Marko "marCoon" Karacic wrote a statement thanking the players and referring how hard the decision was, but still an inevitable one with immediate effect. Here is the statement:

"As of today we, GosuGamers, are stopping all our pro team efforts for now and in the near future. I had a good time with the team and I am sorry things didn't work out as we planned. We tried to make a team that had a family feel to it but due to unforeseen circumstances we always had roadblock being put in our way nearly the whole year that this project lasted.

I want to thank every player that was in the team for his efforts. Lastly I want to thank all the people involved personally.

Naugrim: I thank you fro being part of this from the beginning and it was really nice meeting you at Assembly in Helsinki this year. I had a great/fun time with you and I hope everything works out well for you in the future.

LastShadow: We started working together in 2010 and unfortunately had to stop shortly after the game was released. When I started to manage the team at GosuGamers I instantly wanted you back, but it took me over 3 months of convincing to get you in again. You fulfilled your dream of going to Korea and I am glad we could of been a help for you regarding that.

Of course all the other members that were in the team are very good and talented people. I want to thank ZpuX, iNferNaL, Ourk, Galaxy, Oasis, IcaruS, and Royal. You were a great asset to the team at the times you were in it and therefor I thank you.

I am sad I had to announce this and that I had to make this statement, but it was an inevitable decision. Let's hope for a bright future for everyone who was involved in this.
