Here we will be doing the coverage of the Portuguese Dreamhack Winter Counter-Strike Finals that will take place in Guimarães, starting on November, the 6th. Twenty teams, with k1ck among them in the role of favorite, will be fighting for just one spot in Jonkoping and they have been distributed into 4 groups of 5 teams each. The first two in each group will advance to the single elimination, best of three playoffs.

Playoffs

Now we move on to the single elimination stage. Here are the Brackets. Eight teams fighting for a place in the sun (or snow in this case), only one winner and the winner is K1ck eSports Club that went through the whole tournament without losing a single map.

Group D

Phantoms finished first, right ahead of Display but with the same amount of points, in an exciting group that was decided in the very last game.

Group C

We had a shocking start in this Group with dESIRE beating Ruination by [16:02] and finishing first in the group, winning all of the 4 games. The team that joined them into the playoffs is Ruination that got their game back on track after a bad start.

Group B

exotic came out as favorites, winning every match and the first surprise in the tournament has just happened. Codfish, a team that got access to the finals through the online qualifier, went ahead of their rivals in the group and finished second, booking a place in tomorrow's playoffs.

Group A

First Game, first k1ck victory facing reDawn. [16:01] was the score in a rather one sided de_nuke. Moving on, k1ck now won the match vs kiyoshi in de_inferno, [16:03]. Third round and again k1ck winning by [16:01], this time vs Logout on de_train. Group A is over, with k1ck going through in the first place after beating RG by [16:07] in de_inferno.
