A vulnerability in Ubisoft's uPlay service, that may allow the access of files on user's PCs, was found when a known hacking website published a link on how one's files could be accessed through this service. This vulnerability is a huge risk according to online security experts and measures have already been implemented to fix and prevent it.

uPlay is an obligatory service that registers PC games published by Ubisoft and the flaw, most likely unintentional, is present in its browser add-on. Normally this add-on simply allows games to be launched from a browser however, according to experts "Functionality in the uPlay browser extension, that normally enables games to be launched from a web browser, turns out can also be used to launch any other program on the system.".
Mozilla Firefox has been quick to deal with this and, has already blocked the add-on.
