Tomorrow will be an important day for all the Call of Duty series lovers as Call of Duty: Ghosts is to be published. In fact, the upcoming first-person shooter video game from Activision, the tenth main installment in the series, will be released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, Wii U and Xbox 360 on November 5th and PlayStation 4 plus Xbox One on November 15th and November 22nd respectively. Defending the title that they have conquered in 2012, although this time we have presented a mix team, our players travelled to that Portuguese city and are already engaging different opponents in Group A. Call of Duty: Ghosts has been officially announced by Activision and soon after, scammers started building fake websites in an attempt to gather personal data and even spread malware. Trying to take advantage of the fans excitement all around, websites such as Ghostsbeta.net, blackops2beta.com and CallofDutyGhostsBeta (with almost every single web extension available), pose as legit Call of Duty: Ghosts websites stating that they will offer free Beta keys and other goodies in exchange for your information.
In what seems to be a mistake (or publicity stunt, one never knows), the UK supermarket Tesco briefly displayed a packshot for something called Call of Duty: Ghosts earlier today. The webpage with the pack has quickly been removed but users were still able to take this screenshot, showing a new Call of Duty game with a release date right after Christmas, December the 30th.
The K1ck eSports Club Call of Duty 4 team has attended another tournament on the past weekend and once again they did a great job by winning every match at the LAN ESAC that took place in Barreiro. The format of the competition was double elimination and after sending pers0wnages to the lower bracket at the winners final, they came back for the Grand Final with K1ck securing another triumph.
Although the prizes at stake are not out of this world, there is always the pleasure of getting together and having some enjoyable moments at the XLParty FIL, as these guys love playing LANs. We are talking about our k1ck.cod4 team that once again will be attending another Lan Party, this time in Lisbon, hoping to achieve the same result as in the last one, when the players went to Granada and won the Call of Duty 4 tournament in the LaVega Lan Party, beating nuestros hermanos.
Call of Duty Black Ops II has been released and people may still be wondering if this is just another CoD game or if Treyarch has created something revolutionary this time, something that will finally replace CoD 4 in the eSports competitive scenario. According to some reviews, this is an appealing game: "the unparalleled wealth of gameplay options and brilliant twists on the formula have shaped Black Ops II into the most ambitious and exciting Call of Duty ever made."
