After Guilherme "spacca" Spacca retirement from competitive gaming, now it was Arthur "prd" Resende's turn to leave GameCrashers, although the player won't step down from competitive Counter-Strike, being on the lookout for a new team. All of this caused some turmoil to the team, not being able to recently repeat some of the good results that they had achieved in a not so far past, but the vacant spots in GameCrashers have already been filled with Matheus "urb" Oliveira and Jean "mch" Michel Gomes.

Today our Counter-Strike team had some enjoyable moments at the Corga LAN in Aguas Santas, Maia. Arriving at the location in the middle of the winter but with a fantastic sunshine and great weather, the K1ck players started a photo session wearing the new sweats for the 2012 season and after getting installed in front of the computers, the action began.

As the old saying says, "Someone's Misfortune is Someone Else's Gain" and it couldn't be more accurate in this case. In fact, the DTS Counter-Strike team has reached the end, after losing all three matches at the IEM6 Global Challenge in  Kiev and following  Taras "craft1k" Voitenko retirement. This led to Virtus.pro reinforcement, the team that will replace DTS at the Techlabs Cup that kicks off today.

A few days ago the great news from fnatic was the title sponsor change, from msi to RaidCall. Now the news is not so great as  Faruk "pita" Pita has stepped down from the Counter-Strike team, leaving it a four man roster, for the moment. The reason for this surprising move is mainly the lack of motivation to play the game at the highest level, as he can no longer spare the same amount of time to Counter-Strike as he did in the past.

** UPDATE **

Andreas "MODDII" Fridh is the fifth element in the  fnatic.cs team, therefore replacing Faruk "pita" Pita.

What seemed to be something that would happen someday, has happened today as Ricardo "rmn" Oliveira has joined our  k1ck.cs team, effective immediately. This has been a well thought decision and at the right timing, as the team is quietly preparing the 2012 season, gathering a group of players, staff and sponsors that may take us even further up the road.

It seems that the prize-money from the digifest Fall and digifest Solaris will have the some fate, that is, end in someone else's pocket other than the rightful owners, according to an email excerpt that hltv.org has published. This email has been sent by Martin Veermäe, the digifest organizer, to Tomi "lurppis" Kovanen, one of the players from the digifest Fall's Counter-Strike winning team  WinFakt, entitled to receive 3 000 Eur. And it went something like this: "www.digifest.eu is now closed so you can only dream about your 'prizes', 'moron'." Nothing like being polite when you ransack people's goods...
