Since the day that Gabe Newell considered Windows 8 a "catastrophe", everyone instantly knew that something would be done in the future to promote Linux as the elected Valve operating system for running Steam. Valve's managing director was highly critical of Windows while reiterating Valve's support for Linux as a gaming platform, saying there will be a tangible demonstration of this soon.

As many people know, Google Street View is a technology featured in Google Maps and Google Earth that provides panoramic views from positions along many streets in the world. Launched on May 25, 2007 in several cities in the United States, it has since expanded to make room for cities and rural areas worldwide, including the islands of Indonesia as part of a link-up with the country's Ministry of Tourism.

Well, while mapping out one of those islands, the driver of a Google Street View car crashed into a bus, and scared by the bus driver's angry reaction, he tried to flee the scene, hitting another bus and then a truck, scoring a perfect hat-trick.

The World of Warcraft steady subscriber loss, although slow for the moment, is the main reason for a 54% revenue drop in 7 months, according to a superdataresearch.com article. In the third quarter of 2012, Activision Blizzard wrote that they had over 10 million subscribers for their famous MMORPG but in the second quarter of 2013 this numer has been reduced to approximately 7.7 million subscribers. This news comes at a time when the company is offering sales of virtual tickets to BlizzCon 2013, so that those interested in attending the November gaming convention can do it in the comfort of their own homes.

Back in June we have written a news regarding the possibility of sharing games in Steam. Now that possibility is almost a reality as Valve has confirmed they will go through with the idea. This new service feature will allow close friends and family members to share their libraries of Steam games, but earning their own Steam achievements and storing their own saves and application data to the Steam cloud. It will be available next week, in limited beta.

Funny how you surf the net and sometimes find great ideas that can solve problems that you have, but never gave them a second thought. This is the case of the website justdelete.me that helps you to erase your presence in the www, by showing you the way to remove yourself from many websites. It also marks some of them as "impossible to remove", so it also works as an advisory page that you can check before creating an account in some trendy site.
