The International DotA 2 Championship is due to start August 26th. This competition will be hosted by Valve in Seattle and is going to feature the top sixteen DotA 2 teams in the world competing for the 1 million dollars prize. The tournament will be divided into two segments - the Preliminaries and the Main Event.

The Preliminaries will run from August 26th to August 28th and will determine which teams are placed in the Winners Bracket and the Losers Bracket, by splitting the teams into two groups of eight and making each team play against the other teams in their group twice. The top four teams of each group will be sent to the Winners Bracket and the others to the Losers Bracket. All games in the Preliminaries, each day, will start at 9:00 AM PDT.
