A BarCraft event is a community-organized gathering of eSports fans in a bar or restaurant, hoping to watch exciting StarCraft II eSports streams while enjoying some good grub and even better company. The StarCraft II World Championship Series Season 3 League Finals are on the horizon, and now you can be aware of any gatherings that might be taking place near your town, just by consulting this list.
The first HK eSports Limited 2013 Tournament is the largest ever eSports competition held in Hong Kong and the Grand Final is set to start tomorrow. Hosting 5 tournaments in different games, it's the Starcraft II competition that holds the biggest prize money and the most famous players, after seven qualifiers that swept the world and a wild card. This group of 8 players will fight for a ~$13,000 USD prize-money, in bo3 double elimination playoffs with the Grand Final being held in bo7 with a 1-0 score.
According to a new study by researchers at Queen Mary University of London and University College London, playing Starcraft can boost problem solving and creative thinking, which means that is definitely good for your brain. Improving what they called cognitive flexibility and the ability to adjust their thinking to meet different situations, the players were evaluated on a number of tasks including memory tests, visual search and information filtering, with the ones who played the most complex version of StarCraft being the quickest and most accurate in their responses.
The K1ck eSports Club player Diogo "sYz" Barbosa is already in Tenerife, waiting to take part in the Starcraft II competition at the Tenerife Lan Party 2013. This will be a promising week here in our Club, as we will be attending two international lan parties at the same time, with k1ck.csgo and k1ck.lol playing in the Dreamhack Valencia and k1ck-sYz figthing for the highest place on the podium in the TLP 2013.

It was only yesterday that we wrote a news about k1ck-sYz winning the Clickfiel Starcraft II Invitational and today we have another good news concerning the K1ck Starcraft II player. In fact we won the Tenerife Lan Party 2013 Starcraft II international qualifier that took place this Sunday, booking a place in the TLP Tenerife 2k13 event.
The best Portuguese Starcraft II players were reunited yesterday in the Clickfiel SC2 Invitational, a tournament that was disputed in Porto, starting off in the quarter finals with a bo1 single elimination round. The prizes were provided by Zowie and k1ck-sYz did a great job, winning all of the disputed maps, even when the competition entered the bo3 stage at the semi finals. After losing VortiX and LucifroN to Mousesports on a quick raid made by the german organisation a few days ago, Karont3 has decided to close its Starcraft II division. Using the twitter to announce the news, the team that still had LoLvsxD and ViPro in its ranks wrote that "Well, Mr @Karont3_LoLvsxD is ahead of the official announcement :P We have closed the SC2 division, tomorrow the official news =)".
