"Cannon Fodder and the the other GameSurf Q3F servers have been updated to Q3A 1.32. Be sure that you do the same and don't forget installing Punk Buster when the installer asks you."
"Additionally add seta cl_punkbuster 1 in your config file or add +set cl_punkbuster 1 to your command line for starting Q3F to enable PB locally. Else you won't be able to join a server in future."

Well, Quake Point Release 1.32 is out and so are many players - Out of Business!
Let's make those connections work and get some cd-keys, as Ulti did, and publish them on our Forum.

Q3F Nations is about to start. All of you ppl interested in participating, just check the Q3F Nations Site.
Due to that stupid ping disease thing that attacked my communications, I handed over the leadership of the Portuguese Team to Hitek. Go talk to him about Q3F Nations Cup matters.
There's a small list of K1ck players already in the list, so if you're in the list and don't want to or you are not in the list and want to, guess what.... Talk to Hitek :)

Yes, it's nice just to be "sitting on the dock of the bay watching the time roll away" and have a few beers with friends, talking about "this game, that match, and those frags".
Nazare is such a nice place to do just that, while you watch the sea coming and going, and the local population (hmmmm) wandering around :)
Nice lunch, we'll be looking forward to our 5th Anniversary Lunch in Figueira da Foz :P

We will be helding our annual lunch in Nazare this year. In the 28th September, close to our 4th anniversary ( 11th October ), we will be together with some actual K1cks, K1cks from the past, future K1cks and some invited ppl to attend the lunch.
So, grab your Rocket Luncher or Sniper Rifle ( snipers not allowed, anyway :P ) and come to Nazare on Saturday, the 28th.

We are leaving EQ3FL on the 4th round due to the conditions we have to play matches, right now. Ppl recovering from vacations, players missing, etc. Only in one match have we played with our almost-usual setup, with some nice results.
As we have posted in EQ3FL forum in late July, mid-August seems a rather dumb date to start a league. Only 3 clans agreed, but when it comes down to facts, almost everybody postponed their matches and the ones that didn't, complained about the lack of players.
So, nice League, good effort, maybe next time :)

After losing a Well 1st Leg, we won a Stag 2nd leg against TFT, on an exciting match, turned around in the last few minutes.
We have some new Members, promoted from Prospect status. And Initiate is promoted to Full-Member Status. Check our Member list.
On our last practice, some peeps were left watching, cause our 10vs10 established a new attendance record to practices :). We are building a strong team, once again...

After a dreadful 7vs9 defeat against AR ( try playing H4rdcore with 7 against 9, bahhhh ), we've decided to make a few changes around here. SurfAngel got  , Batch is on his way down and some peeps are considered Inactive, because we still are on Summer time.
Now the good news. Some players from =FAB= have joined K1ck. On our first practice together, we had an attendance record...18 peeps on a funny 9vs9.
Let's hope we can still play some good matches at EQ3FL, with the right number of players...

| Slowly Returning to Practice |

Yesterday we had our first practice since mid July. With more than half the ppl still on vacations, we are starting slowly.
It was a good practice, though... Let's see if we can find our good shape before our postponed EQ3FL matches start.
Pitifully for us, such a nice League with real effort by the ppl in charge, it started too soon...

According to Igster, and since 5* got k1cked, K1ck grab an isolated second place and got promoted to the 3rd division next season, without the need for a play-off. 3 Wins, 1 Defeat and a nice collection of flags :)
Let's go on well deserved VACATIONS till September and hope our sponsors increase our budget next season :P

With half of the team on vacation, it was hard to get players in the server, specially the ones that, at least, knew the map :)
So, we've fulfilled our obligations, played and lost the first match on bwq3fl that we felt we couldn't win under the circunstances ( Did I mention the ping ? :) No need to... it's already a well-known and heavy cross we bear ).
Well, not a bad season after all, with 3 wins and a second place on our debut.

We've lost against 5* a map that we should have won. That was the feeling some players had at the end of the game.
After a 2-0 lead in the first moments, we let our opponents reduce, draw and get ahead in the scoreboard, never to be catched again.
Pings 300,350 and worst and connections interrupted could be an excuse :), but we should have done better. Good turnover 5*.

But could you please disconnect your Lag-O-Simulator next Sunday ? We really need to play a match and 999 pings, as in Wednesday scrimm, how odd it may seems, make us a little bit furious...

Although it was a 7vs6 match, Forts is never easy to attack, specially against experienced clans like KOC.
But our first cap, right in the beginning of the game, was decisive. The defense hold on well, and the attack kept on bringing flags, step by step.
GG KOC and that makes 3 in a row.

An exciting and well played match between K1ck and .pt, the only two Portuguese Q3F clans, took place tonight on BW. After a good start on 2stag2 from our opponents, reaching a 0-2 lead, we turned the match around and won 7-5.
Great game everybody, and a word of encouragement for our 3 prospects that played so well during the match.
Check the stats and the results at the graveyard. Way to go ppl!

Our first match in the bwq3fl started and ended quite well. Cathedrals was the map and =FAB= the opponents.
But in the middle game things turned out quite nasty. We lost the initial advantage and watched =FAB= get ahead in the scoreboard.
With a last cap a few seconds from the end, we secured the match. GG =FAB= and you nearly had us, on an exciting match.

People all over (forums pq3f and irc ppl) seem to think q3f 2.2 is coming out tomorrow (Tuesday in Europe). It's supposed to have a lot of maps and many various tweaks...
Let's hope it's a good release.

And this month, the PC Powerplay mod life section of the magazine is about q3f2, mod included on the cover disk. This would be a great time to get it!

Due to the lack of time, Perception has asked to be relieved of the Defense Coordinator function. HeDevil is the new Defense Coordinator but we'll still pay the June month in full to Perception. We like the guy :)
Since some players only belong to K1ck to say that they are in a good clan, and then never show up to the matches, Siul has been from K1ck. Sudden and Batch get a yellow card.
R2-D2 has been promoted to the Member Status. Well done and keep up the good work!

After a dreadful and surrealistic start at Cathedrals, we began losing 0-4 in a snap. Squad rearranged, we started capping in the last minutes and lost 3-9.
Bases went better and we were winning 2-0, but on the 25th minute connections collapsed putting an end to the scrimm.
Good practice though.

After a very confusing start, we've played a 6x5 Forts against =FAB=. The Japanese Castles that followed was less confusing and more enjoyable.
We've won both maps ( you can check it at the Graveyard ), but the result was the least important, since we've had lots of fun playing against a nice clan.
Well, not a bad day at the office :)

Although we should always try to show empathy with the mentally deranged ppl, I can't help feeling sorry for the other .pt clan members for having such a retarded as leader.
